Perpetual

Our next door neighbour spends all his time mowing his giant lawn. By the time he has mowed all the way around his small hill, on which his house is built on top of, the other side of the lawn has started growing back and it’s about time to mow that side again. And so he mows around and around in perpetual circles, arriving back to the start only to realise the grass is the same length as he left it because he is mowing at the same rate that the grass is growing. In fact, by now he has totally lost track of exactly where the beginning ends and the end begins, so he has just decided to keep going until the job is done. Except the job is never done, because the grass on the hill creeps up his heel the second he has stepped off it and he’s been mowing the lawn non stop for 10 years neighbourhood rumour has it.
